Chinamasa turned down Biti's job offer
People’s Democratic Party (PDP) spokesperson Jacob Mafume claim that Patrick Chinamasa turned down a job offer at Tendai Biti’s law firm.
Mafume said that Biti offered Chinamasa the job offer knowing that he was going to fail as Finance Minister. Mafume said Biti also offered Chinamasa advice and asked him to adopt PDP’s emergency recovery strategy including a self-explanatory 16 point plan the party published in 2014 but he refused. Said Mafume:
PDP, however, has no sympathy for this chap, he must face the music as we warned him that the reptile infested party had no respect for economics and that he would fail, in fact, we even offered him the opportunity to practice law at Tendai Biti Law firm, an offer which he chose not to take. President Biti even made attempts to give him personal advice over the phone on things that would take him at least three years to learn; in his self-importance he rejected the advice. In a mere three years Chinamasa plunged this economy into an unprecedented fiscal and financial mess. He redefined failure.
