"We have oil somewhere in Zim": Grace Mugabe

Speaking to  investors of African origin based in the United Kingdom at her Mazowe Children’s Home on Tuesday, First Lady Grace Mugabe said that some people know where oil is in Zimbabwe.

Said Grace:

You can actually mention any of the minerals Zimbabwe has that mineral. Even some people believe that we have oil somewhere. Yes some people know. Our erstwhile colonisers had maps and they hid some of the information from us but we are getting to know bit by bit. God is revealing that this is yours use it.

At one time cabinet ministers were conned by Rotina Mavunga into believing that she could produce diesel fuel from rocks in the bush outside the provincial town of Chinhoyi. At the time President Robert Mugabe sent a delegation of ministers, including then State Security Minister Didymus Mutasa, Defense Minister Sydney Sekeramayi and police minister Kembo Mohadi to investigate the claims and when they returned without a clear answer he dispatched the ministers of energy, mines and science and technology and a third delegation of top military and police officers.
