We will deploy police to ensure that Zodwa is properly dressed: Censorship board says dancer can perform

South African dancer and socialite Zodwa Wabantu will be coming to Zimbabwe after the Board of Censors made a major climb down and granted Devine Assignments permission to bring her to perform. The dancer who is expected to arrive in Harare tomorrow is set to make an appearance at the Private Lounge in Harare on Friday and Club 263 in Mutare on Saturday. However, she is still barred from performing at the Harare International Carnival.

Head of the Board of Censors, former cabinet minister Aeneas Chigwedere said

They (Devine Assignments) submitted their application yesterday morning (Monday) and we approved the application in the afternoon.

Devine Assignments assured us that she will be properly dressed with proper undergarments. We will deploy police to ensure that Zodwa complies with the promise by her promoters.

Zodwa is coming specifially for her negagements with Devine Assignments. Her coming has nothing to do with the Carnival.
