Kombi crew drops huge python at bus terminus before speeding off
Speaking to The Chronicle, acting police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Kudakwashe Dehwa confirmed that at around 8AM a kombi dropped a python measuring about 2,5 metres at Mucheke Long Distance Bus Terminus in Masvingo before it sped off.
He said officers from Chikato Police Station attended the scene and notified the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority. Said Dehwa:
I can confirm receiving a report of a huge python that was said to have dropped from a commuter omnibus near the bus terminus in Mucheke yesterday morning. We sent our details who could not find anyone but a bemused group of residents. We have no further details as police.
FeedbackWhen The Chronicle got to the scene the python had already been removed by Zimparks. A majority of people they interviewed believed the snake was being used for witchcraft and/or rituals.
