ZRP and SAPS to tighten Beitbridge border security to curb cross border car thieves and poachers

The Zimbabwe Republic Police and the South African Police Service will be increasing patrols along the Beitbridge Border Post following an increase in the number of stolen cars which have crosssed borders. The two police services are also looking at controlling the activities of poachers who are smuggling ivory and rhino horns.

APS spokesperson Motlaefela Mojapelo said

We are actually on top of the situation and we’ve increased our security along border lines, especially bordering Zimbabwe and South Africa to make sure that we stop this thing.
