Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) Assistant Inspector Brian Nyamudo (36) of Fairbridge Support Unit Camp was arrested together with 3 other accomplices; Calvin Edwards (27) and Daniel Oliver (66) and Leeroy Oliver (32), for poaching at a farm belonging to Minister of Micro-Economic Planning and Investment Promotion, Obert Mpofu in Umguza district.
The suspects allegedly shot down a cow after mistaking it for an eland and then fled from the scene. They left the car they were using at Mpofu’s farm and a rifle was also recovered at the scene. The other rifle they were using was recovered at one of the suspects’ house following a search. When contacted for comment by The Chronicle, Mpofu confirmed the incident.
