Matemadanda’s suggestion that Grace Mugabe should be arrested is a coup plot and a serious threat to national security

In a statement, the Mandi Chimene led faction of the war veterans said that the statement by Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association (ZNLWVA) secretary general Victor Matemadanda that First Lady Grace Mugabe should be arrested for challenging President Mugabe to name successor s a clear coup plot and a serious threat to national security.

According to ZBC News, Chimene’s deputy, George Mlala said that the statements released by the Christopher Mutsvangwa led faction does not represent the views of the war veterans. Mlala also urged the war veterans not to be influenced by Mutsvangwa’s group whom he said are pushing for their own personal agendas.
