Amidu joins Egyptian club, Pfumbidzai to play for Bloemfontein Celtic

Abbas Amidu will join Egyptian club Smouha where he will get a salary of about $6 000 before tax and also give CAPS United less than the $100 000 transfer fee that was being offered by Zambian side Buildcon. Meanwhile Ronald Pfumbidzai will play in a friendly for South African side Bloemfontein Celtic. The match will be used by the club to make their final decision on whether or not to sign him.

Amidu said he chose the Egyptian side because he wanted a club where he would be assured of game time. CAPS United players who spoke to The Herald also said that goalkeeper Edmore Sibanda who has been linked with a move from the club has said he is committed to the club.
