Mugabe orders Zanu-PF to prepare for early elections

Addressing journalists soon after a Zanu-PF politburo meeting held yesterday, thee party’s secretary for administration Ignatius Chombo said that President Robert Mugabe had urged the party to start preparing for elections now giving an indication that he wants to declare an early election.

Chombo is quoted by NewsDay as saying:

The President said preparations for next year’s harmonised election should start now in earnest with party unity and organising people to register to vote.
