Bogus police officers convicted of mounting roadblock near State House

Martin Ndoorwi (27), Innocent Pamire and Joel Paradzayi, both aged 30, who were arrested for mounting a fake roadblock near State House and tried to extort money from a Patriot newspaper driver, Milton Shumba whom they accused of driving through a red traffic light, were convicted when they appeared before Harare regional magistrate Mr Elijah Makomo.

Pamire and Paradzayi were found guilty on kidnapping and impersonating charges while Ndoorwi was found guilty of kidnapping and extortion. He pleaded guilty to impersonating a police officer. Their alleged accomplice Khadri Amin (43) is on the run after being granted bail at the High Court.
