Mugabe must act on Jonathan Moyo otherwise there will be a bloodbath warns War veterans

Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans’ Association secretary-general Victor Matemadanda has criticised President Robert Mugabe for failing to discipline Professor Jonathan Moyo after he called General Constantino Chiwenga and idiot. This came after Chiwenga had threatened Moyo with unspecified action for criticising Command Agriculture. Matemadanda said Mugabe’s silence on the issue could lead to a blood bath.

Said Matemadanda:

How does a Cabinet minister or anyone for that matter get away with calling a five-star general an idiot? It is unheard of.

Moyo is provoking a man who has thousands of soldiers under his command. He wants the army to react so that he can cry foul.

…Chiwenga was within his rights that when a Cabinet minister takes to public platforms to denigrate government policies and openly attacks the country’s VP, it becomes a national security issue. The President cannot watch in silence.

It is most disconcerting that the President has decided to act as if he is on leave. The President wants people to kill each other first before he acts. He wants a bloodbath
