Speaking to The Herald, Police spokesperson Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba said that This Flag Movement founder and coordinator, Pastor Evan Mawarire will appear in court today.
She said that Mawarire was arrested for inciting University of Zimbabwe students to demonstrate. In an interview, UZ Student Representative Council president Stephen Tsikira said he was shocked by Mawarire’s address. Said Tsikira:
We were shocked by the address of Evan Mawarire. We do not know who contacted him and how he arrived at the campus.
