We will weed out teachers against new curriculum warns Dokora

Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Dr Lazarus Dokora has warned teachers and headmasters who are resisting the new curriculum that they will be pushed out of the system. Dokora warned that there are many teachers graduating every year who are eager to get into the education sector, so it will be easy to replace any people not conforming. Speaking at Loreto High School in Kwekwe, Dokora said:

If you prove that you are a stumbling block we will weed you out. We don’t want stumbling blocks within the system, there are headmasters and teachers young and vibrant who are out of the system and raring to go

This year we are expecting about 2,000 teachers from the teachers’ colleges who want to join the system
