Trump sends special envoy to Zim, demands urgent reforms
Deputy Assistant Secretary, Bureau of African Affairs at the United States Department of State Carol O’Connell is in the country to look at reforms which her government is demanding from the Zimbabwe Authorities. O’ Connell said that the US wanted urgent political and economic reforms although she indicated that funding programmes were unlikely to be affected.
Said O’Connell:
The relationship between Zimbabwe government and the United States of America is the main reason why I am here.
We are looking to the Zimbabwe government or leadership to make political and economic changes so that we can work robustly to improve on the relations between us.
