Former maid teams up with police officers to beat & rob woman who replaced her

Nomthandazo Mbele (22) allegedly recruited three police officers to assist her in beating up and robbing Sizalobuhle Dube (19) who had replaced her. Mbele pleaded not guilty to a robbery charge when she appeared before Western Commonage Magistrate Mr Lungile Ncube who remanded her in custody to June 15 for trial before Magistrate Mr Stephen Ndhlovu.

Mbele told the court that she had gone to her former employer’s house to collect $50 balance that was owed to her. The three male police officers manhandled Dube while Mbele and the woman stole her cellphone which was on a charger after Dube allegedly refused to give them the $50. One of the police officers allegedly slapped Dube once while the other one shoved her and she hit against a wall. Mbele did not name her alleged accomplices who are still at large.
