Dokora survives hit & run car accident, Zanu-PF rivals suspected to be behind

Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Dr Lazarus Dokora was involved in a hit and run accident which left his Mercedes Benz with extensive damage that could see it being disposed or requiring a lot of money to repair.

The accident occurred as Dokora was approaching the intersection of Lomagundi and Harare Drive heading towards Westgate. The accident occurred at around midnight when Dokora’s vehicle was side swiped by a speeding vehicle whose driver deliberately overtook him on the left side. Sources who spoke to Daily News said that Dokora suspected that his enemies within Zanu-PF were behind the accident. Police spokesperson Charity Charamba told Daily News that the issue had not been reported to the police. The publication could not reach Dokora for a comment.

Zanu-PF ministers such as Patrick Zhuwao, Martin Dinha and Makhosini Hlongwane have received death threats.
