Grand coalition is imminent says Biti

Former Finance Minister and Leader of the People’s Democratic Party Tendai Biti has revealed that negotiations are at and advanced stage for the formation of the grand coalition. Biti said that CODE and NERA were negotiations and that the proposed grand coalition of opposition parties is imminent.

Said Biti while addressing supporters at the Amphitheatre in Bulawayo on Thursday:

There are serious discussions going on among parties affiliated to National Electoral Reform Agenda (Nera), Coalition of Democrats (Code) and other political parties outside these two political organisations.

Last week, our vice president Phulu (Kucaca) and the secretary for international relations, Willias Madzimure were in Cape Town where they signed a document called Mass Opposition Movement.

We highly appreciate that initiative because we must put Zimbabwe first.
