Five things you probably did not know about Carl Joshua Ncube

Today is comedian/chef/show host Carl Joshua Ncube’s birthday. Here are five things you probably did not know about him:

1. From 17 August to 23 August 2016, Ncube managed to host 31 shows across 31 different venues in South Africa and Zimbabwe in an attempt to break the World Record for the most comedy gigs in a week.
2. Carl left for the United Kingdom in December 1997 and worked as a waiter/kitchen assistant.
3. He is a qualified Gynecology nurse, a qualification he obtained from the London South Bank University (1998 to 2001) and has helped deliver a total of 17 babies.
4. In 2010 Ncube would stage a one-man demonstration against piracy by staying 7 days in the streets.
5. Ncube has produced an animation titled Nyaminyami which was played at the Harare International Festival of the Arts.
