Zanu PF youths demand $5bn for projects, dismiss allegations of looting $40m fund

Zanu PF youths are have demanded $5 billion from the government for various empowerment projects. The youths described the $40 million National Youth Fund, which was largely unaccounted for and looted by employees of the Ministry of Youth, Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment as money which was only suitable for small projects.

Speaking Zanu PF Manicaland meeting in Mutare over the weekend, Zanu-PF Youth League national youth political commissar, Innocent Hamandishe said:

We need real projects. Someone is saying he is carrying out an investigation, what investigation? When we call for projects for youths, we are not talking about youths selling tomatoes. We need $5 billion, not the issue of 10 cents you are saying and we surely need the money
