OK Zimbabwe, one of the leading supermarket chains in Zimbabwe, posted a US $6.1 million profit in the year ended 31 March 2017. This is a significant growth of 620% in profits as the March 2016 year profit was $672 thousand.
Revenue for the year was $472.4 million.
Said the chairman of the company, D. B. Lake:
Despite the difficult operating environment, the Group delivered a significantly improved performance. This was a result of sharpened focus on customer service and product mix, improved back office efficiencies, improved margins and better management of costs as a result of initiatives rolled out in the prior year.
