I no longer have sleepless nights over economy: Minister Chinamasa
Minister of Finance and Economic Development Patrick Chinamasa has revealed that he is no longer having sleepless nights due to Zimbabwe’s poor economy. Chinamasa said that the economy is set to get better due to the good performance of mining and agriculture.
Speaking at the just ended 78th Chamber of Mines of Zimbabwe annual general meeting and conference in Victoria Falls, Chinamasa said:
I want to thank the mining sector for your performance last year. I am happy that results are beginning to show and I can sleep well now.
FeedbackChinamasa is expecting revenues of $3 billion from mining by year end, compared to the $2 billion from last year. Most of the revenue is coming from gold, platinum and lately chrome. Coal and Diamonds are not performing well according to the Minister.
