Kasukuwere asked to recuse himself from meetings until his matter is finalized

Zanu-PF provincial chairpersons have asked underfire National Political Commissar (NPC) to recuse himself from meetings between the chairpersons and the Department of the Commissariat. They allege that, this would result in disruption and bullying since the chairpersons called for his removal as the party’s NPC.

Some chairpersons who allegedly spoke to the Herald anonymously are quoted as saying:

We hear the meeting has been called by the Department of the Commissariat in Harare, not by Cde Kasukuwere. However, if it is true that Cde Kasukuwere wants to address us, then it will be disastrous

We cannot be addressed by the person the people have rejected. The Department of the Commissariat should not stop functioning because of him. I am coming to Harare and if he is indeed going to address us, I will boycott the meeting.
