War Veterans refuse to be silenced by Mugabe or his emissaries

Speaking to Daily News yesterday, Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association (ZNLWVA) secretary general Victor Matemadanda dismissed reports by State media that ZNLWVA chairperson Christopher Mutsvangwa had barred him from speaking on behalf of the association. He also dismissed reports that Mutsvangwa had ordered them to listen to Constantino Chiwenga’s warning.

Said Matemadanda:

It is not true that chairperson (Mutsvangwa) silenced us. That is the false creation of people who are not happy with our executive. They think they have found the chance to separate us but they will not succeed. The truth is that these people will not see any split. We have no problems in our association and we are operating as usual. We agreed that nothing will separate us and they should just stop wasting their time.
