Nkosana Moyo snubs Mutasa and Gumbo, refuses to lead Zimbabwe People First

Former cabinet minister Dr Nkosana Moyo is reported to have snubbed an offer to lead Zimbabwe People First. Dr Moyo was approached by Zimbabwe People First elders Didymus Mutasa and Rugare Gumbo. This was revealed by ZimPF official Kudakwashe Bhasikiti at a press conference yesterday. Bhasikiti said the party had settled for Agrippa Mutambara after Moyo’s refusal. Bhasikiti said:

Most of the candidates declined to come and lead the party until we were left with two candidates — Nkosana Moyo and Mutambara. They were called for discussions so that they would share with us their visions. It was clear that Moyo had a different vision and that he wanted to contest as an independent candidate. He said he doesn’t believe in political parties.
