George Shaya's wife appeals for aid, says we are living in poverty

Agnes Shaya, wife to football legend George Shaya is appealing for aid from well-wishers saying their family is struggling to make ends meet after the former football star was diagnosed with dementia. Agnes says that they are living in poverty and claims that Dynamos Football Club has dumped them. She added that the Dynamos board members only remember Shaya when they need him to further their factional agendas.

Speaking to The Standard, Agnes said:

We are living in poverty, and at this moment I am struggling to get him his medication for his condition, he is suffering and is in pain and unstable,

For what he did for Dynamos during his playing days, I hoped and expected that during his time of need, the club would be there for him, but it seems they have dumped him…

What hurts me most is how the two factions neglect George. They seem to care about him when they need him in their battles. We are not saying we want financial help but that emotional support would play a pivotal role
