Seven immigration officials from Victoria Falls appeared in court facing charges of fraud. The seven are alleged to have altered visas for visitors from other countries. They would allegedly record lower amounts in the receipt books than what they would have charged the visitors and then poocket the difference.
The seven are:
- Promise Miti (37)
- Maboreke Enock Takura (29)
- Nonhlanhla Nyathi (39)
- Aron Mamvura (40)
- Patience Chivi (31)
- Kushinga Goremusandu and
- James Marowa
They were represented by Thulani Nkala and released on $200 bail. They are expected back in court on May 10.
