Poacher kills game ranger after being cornered

Bino Ndou (41) a suspected poacher has been arrested and charged with the murder of a game ranger near Beitbridge. Ndou allegedly shot the ranger on Sunday morning after he was cornered by three rangers while checking on his snares.

Matabeleland South police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Nkosilathi Sibanda confirmed the incident saying that Ndou shot the ranger with using a shotgun as he tried to escape from the three rangers who had ambushed him. The body of the decaeased ranger was taken to Beitbridge District Hospital Mortuary pending a post-mortem.
