Met Department warns of heavy rains and flooding in Matabeleland starting tomorrow

The Meteorological Services Department(MSD) has said that heavy rains are expected in parts of the country starting from tomorrow. Heavy rains are expected in Matabeleland South, Masvingo and the southern parts of Midlands.

Said the Department:

A cloud system is projected to start entering Zimbabwe through Matabeleland provinces on Thursday leading to heavy rains in Matabeleland South, south of Midlands and Masvingo.

This is highly conducive to flash flooding and the public is advised to be vigilant especially in areas that have already borne the brunt of excessive water and flooding
