Macheso storms off stage after fired guitarist  gets on stage

Sungura maestro Alick Macheso stormed off the stage at a show in Mbare after his ex-guitarist Taffy Nyamunda joined the band on stage without Macheso realizing. Nyamunda joined in after regular guitar player left his guitar unattended and went backstage to eat. When Macheso realized that Nyamunda had joined the band’s performance he ordered his band to stop playing and walked off the stage. The show resumed after 10 minutes when Maikoro and Macheso rejoined the rest of the band.

Said Macheso afterward:

Every organisation has rules. People do not do what they want. If it was at your workplace and you were on suspension, would you just go into the newsroom unannounced? Do you think your editor would be happy?

He was supposed to talk to me or the management first. I do not have a problem with him coming to reconnect with fans, but the way he did it was a direct challenge to authorities.
