Zifa praise Mapeza following Warriors draw with Zambia
Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) have praised acting Warriors coach Norman Mapeza following a 0-0 draw against Zambia at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday. Speaking to NewZimbabwe.com, Zifa vice president Omega Sibanda said they will be meeting as the executive to make a decision to appoint a substantive coach after the match.
Said Sibanda:
The position is that we are happy with Norman Mapeza. The match was played and he did well. So, we will be meeting in due course as an executive and make a decision.
FeedbackAfter the Sunday match, Mapeza also said he would never turn down an opportunity to coach the national team if granted. He, however, insisted the decision lay with FC Platinum.
