Former government minister Dumiso Dabengwa said after yesterday’s meeting of the war veterans, he will die a happy man. He said he will be able to face former liberation war commanders knowing that he had done something about Zimbabwe’s dire economic situation.
Addressing former freedom fighters at meeting organized by the Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association leadership Dabengwa said:
My own concern has always been on the day they decide to call me to the heavens and I meet Josiah Tongogara, Alfred Mangena, Lookout Masuku and they ask questions like: You remained there with the rest of the other comrades, what did you people do when you realised things were going the wrong direction?
What measures did you take when you saw that things were not going in the right direction?
But after today’s (Thursday) gathering and I will have the answer,
