Govt keen to establish what happened to Itai Dzamara says Mnangagwa
Speaking at a press conference before his presentation before the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) today, Vice President and Minister of Justice, Emmerson Mnangagwa said that Government is committed to protect all its citizens and was also keen to establish what happened to journalist-cum activist Itai Dzamara.
Said Mnangagwa:
We appeal to every single organisation in Zimbabwe or individuals to come forward (with information on his whereabouts). As a result of that desire to establish what happened to Itai Dzamara, Government has put forward $10 000 as a reward for anybody who can come forward with such information.
FeedbackHowever, Dzamara’s family has not been happy with the efforts that Government has put in so far to find Itai with them goins far as hiring a Private investigator and his younger brother Patson Dzamara petitioning Police Commissioner General Augustine Chihuri.
