Matebeleland North Province to donate $25 000 towards Mugabe's birthday celebrations

Zanu PF Youth League Matebeleland North Province is appealing to well-wishers to donate $25 000 for President Robert Mugabe’s celebrations which will be held in Matebeleland South at Rhodes Estate Preparatory School in Matobo District on February 25.

Matebeleland North youth league chairperson, Mbongeni Dube said that some companies had already started depositing money into the Youth League’s account. He also said that Hwange and Lupane local boards had promised to give them money. He also said 3 buses have been secured and 10 children who were born on 21 February have been identified in Nkayi District. The province wants to ferry 20 000 people to the celebrations.

Provincial secretary for Transport and Welfare, Daniel Sithole said that they have organised a modelling contest at Edmund Davis Club in Hwange as part of their fund raising efforts.
