Zimbabwe Nurses Association letter to members after civil servants rejected government bonus deal

After the civil servants rejected all the government’s offers on a new bonus deal, the Zimbabwe Nurses Association sent a letter to their members asking them for their input on the matter.  Another meeting is scheduled for the 20th of February 2017.

The letter reads:

 OUTCOME OF THE BONUS INDABA BETWEEN HEALTH BIPARTITE, APEX COUNCIL AND MINISTERS OF FINANCE, PUBLIC SERVICE. LABOUR AND SOCIAL WELFARE, OTHER TOP GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS AND RBZ GOVERNOR
(i) Trading in Bonus for Stands

( ii)  Money earmarked for Bonus to be invested by Government then the long teen retains (sic) to be paid to Civil Servants.

(iii) Civil Servants to get 50% money and 50% non monetary benefits.

The Civil Servants refused to take up all the above offers insisting to have their bonuses paid and this stand off resulted in the meeting being adjourned to 20th February 2017 to allow for further consultations.
