Kasukuwere tells Mujuru: Disband and retire

ZANU PF national political commissar Saviour Kasukuwere has taken a dig at his former boss Joice Mujuru telling her to disband her project and retire.  He also said that Mujuru’s Zimbabwe People First (ZimPF) was not going to be able to recover from its chastening defeat in the Bikita  West by-election.  Beauty Chibaya of Zanu Pf won the election with a margin of over 10 000 votes over the second place candidate.

Speaking to RadioVop Kasukuwere  gleefully said:

They won’t survive this failure. They should disband and retire

However, some rights groups said the Bikita West election was not free and fair due to intimidation.  Zimrights said:

Intimidation, or the harvest of terror still lingering in rural communities after the unhealed political violence of 2008, appeared to be the most unfortunate way in which the ruling party Zanu PF’s officials tried to sway the vote in favour of their party candidate whether that had a bearing on the outcome or not.
