Strive Masiyiwa categorically denies interest in Politics, urges followers to ignore "fake news hucksters"

Econet founder, Strive Masiyiwa has refuted claims that he is interested in contesting in the 2018 Elections.  Social media has been awash with rumours that Strive Masiyiwa’s big announcement was about the entrepreneur running to be Zimbabwe’s next president.  The prospect had excited a lot of people on social media.

However, speaking on his facebook page, Masiyiwa said he was not interested in politics and urged people to ignore fake news hucksters. He said the announcement he wants to make concerns entrepreneurship.

Masiyiwa said:

Not  interested in politics, not in the past, not now, and not in the future.
Announcement will be on something to do with entrepreneurship support for my followers on this Facebook page. Ignore “fake news hucksters”.
