Soldiers go on rampage beating up civilians after colleague loses gun at love nest

Yesterday soldiers from the 1 Independent Battallion allegedly went on a rampage beating up civilians in Beitridge.   This happened after another soldier lost his firearm, an AK-47, while having sex in the bush.

The soldiers allegedly went on a beating spree, assaulting anyone they suspected of having stolen the gun.  Most of the assaulted people were at Dulivhadzimo bus terminus.  However, National police spokesperson Chief Superintendent Paul Nyathi professed ignorance of the incident saying:

I am not even aware of that.
