Zimbabwe Tourism Authority reveals why carnival was not held this year, gives new dates
Speaking to the Daily News, Zimbabwe Tourism Authority spokesperson, Sugar Chagonda revealed that the Harare International Carnival was not held this year due to lack of resources. He also revealed the new date for the carnival.
Said Chagonda:
We are going to hold the carnival next year between March and April in line with international trends in the world of carnivals. The major reason why we could not hold the carnival is because we could not mobilise adequate resources. We have now postponed this time around because our stakeholders said the beginning of the year would be more convenient.
FeedbackChangoda said that they are confident they will be able to get adequate resources for next year’s event and that they will be resending invitations to potential participants such as Brazil, India, Nigeria and DRC.
