Zimbabwe deports 124 Malawians
Immigration officials who spoke to NewZimbabwe.com on Monday confirmed that 124 Malawians were deported from Zimbabwe over the weekend due to lack of proper documentation.
Malawi Immigration spokesperson at Mwanza border Pasqually Zulu said after the deportations there were no Malawian nationals in custody in Zimbabwe prisons. Zulu also said the deportees have since been released upon verification of their Malawian nationality. He said:
The deported include 23 women, four children and 121 men. They are from different parts of the country but many of them are from Mangochi district.
