Government set to reintroduce student loans and grants next year, with the aid of RBZ
Student loans and grants which were phased out in 2006, will be reintroduced next year. The Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology Development has already engaged the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe to structure the new student loans.
Jonathan Moyo, the Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology Development speaking at the Zanu-PF Annual National People’s Congress said:
The ministry has engaged the RBZ to structure a student loan scheme for higher and tertiary education institutions to be run by financial institutions with proven micro-financing capacity
FeedbackThis scheme will be launched in the coming year to help parents and guardians who are struggling to pay higher and tertiary education fees for their children.
