Panic reigns, 7 cops injured in traffic accident after mock plane crash in Bulawayo

Seven police officer were seriously injured in a traffic accident as they rushed to render aid to the victims of a plane crash.  However, it turned out that there was no plane crash at all.  The Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe was conducting a mock plane crash at Joshua Nqabuko Nkomo airport in Bulawayo.  This was a drill to test the disaster preparedness and responsiveness of emergency first responders.

The driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle which veered off the road.  The vehicle overturned, throwing out the seven officers.  The injured officers were rushed to Mpilo Central Hospital for treatment.
