NOIC to reduce fuel pipeline charges in 2017

THE National Oil Infrastructure Company of Zimbabwe (NOIC) will reduce the pipeline charges for fuel next year.  This should result in consumers paying less for fuel.  Something that will benefit the whole nation.

According to the website of the Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries (CZI), the charges may be reduced by 20 cents.  This means the pipeline charges will now be $0,65 compared to the current $0,85.

CZI said:

The committee (on energy) was informed that the National Oil Company will with effect from January, 2017 reduced pipeline charges from 85c to 65c.

Ideally this reduction should filter to consumers, through a reduced pump price. The committee noted that fuel prices have slightly gone up by two cents, and the margin for retailers has since moved up from six cents to eight cents per litre.
