  1. His career in the judiciary started in the colonial era, as a young assistant magistrate in 1978
  2. Justice Paddington Garwe also served on the Namibian Supreme Court as acting judges of appeal from 1 January to 31 December 2014
  3. He was Judge President of the High Court of Zimbabwe between 2001-2006.
  4. Justice Garwe has served as the chairperson of the Zimbabwe National Committee on Community Service from 1993 to date and chairperson of the Pre-Trial Diversion Programme for Young Offenders from 2010 to date
  5. Justice Garwe was criticized by Patrick Chinamasa, who was the Justice Minister for acquitting Morgan Tsvangirai in October 2004. Tsvangiray had been facing charges of treason after he was accused of tring to assasinate President Robert Mugabe.  Chinamsa said
