MDC-T says it will not disrupt bond notes public meetings
MDC-T has said that it will not disrupt public meetings meant to gauge citizens views on the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe Amendment Bill which if passed into law will legalise the use of bond notes in the country.
Parliament’s Portfolio Committee on Finance and Economic Development tour will also see citizens express their views on the Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Bill although the bond notes issue is highly expected to dominate the meetings.
The public hearings will start Tuesday and end on Saturday with two parliamentary teams set to conduct the hearings. They will be conducted in Masvingo, Mutare, Marondera, Chinhoyi and Bindura and will also be conducted in Gweru, Bulawayo, Gwanda, and Lupane, Bindura and finally Harare on Saturday.
