Zhuwao says the current crisis will ensure that Zanu PF wins 2018 election

Indigenisation Minister Patrick Zhuwao has said that the current crisis will ensure that that Zanu PF wins the 2018 election.

Addressing journalists in Bulawayo recently, Zhuwao said,

Zanu PF is definitely going to win the next elections. When you look at Zanu PF’s performance in elections, it performs very well under pressure. When it is comfortable it tends to relax. In 2005 elections we had a constitutional majority and look at what happened in 2008, the party dropped the ball but in 2013 we retained the constitutional majority.

Zhuwao who is also Mugabe’s nephew and Zanu PF Deputy Secretary for Science and Technology in the politburo, said the party’s recent loss in Norton was a wake-up call which has inspired them to double their campaign efforts ahead of the 2018,

What happened in Norton is actually assisting us to make sure that we keep reminding ourselves of what happened in 2008. As a party, we are now addressing the concerns of the people.
