The Labour Court confirmed the dismissal of a Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) senior manager, Andrew Shangu, who was caught peeping into girls’ hostels at the University of Zimbabwe (UZ).
Shangu was dismissed after an incident that had him arrested at the UZ and taken to Avondale Police Station where he paid an admission of guilt fine. After his dismissal he appealed to the Zimra appeals committee which also upheld his dismissal which resulted in him taking the matter to the Labour Court.
The court threw out his appeal citing that it lacked merit.
