Mighty Warriors lose 3-0 to South Africa ahead of African Women’s Cup of Nations tournament

The Mighty Warriors lost 3-0 to South Africa in a friendly match played at the National Sports Stadium today.
Thembi Kgatlana put South Africa ahead in the 16th minute before doubling the lead in the 52nd minute. Smeda Leandra then scored third. Zimbabwe got chances to reduce deficit but were kept out by South Africa.
Zimbabwe will face South Africa, Egypt and hosts Cameroon at the African Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) tournament set to be held later this month.
