Zisco’s fate shows that government is not serious- Chinamasa

Minister of Finance, Patrick Chinamasa has said that Zimbabwe Iron and Steel Company needs to resuscitated if the coiuntry’s economic fortunes are to change.  He also said that the demise of ZISCO shows how serious the government is, after the steel  manufacturer has been lying idle for nearly a decade.  A 750 million deal with Essar, collapsed due to the country’s contoversial indigenization laws.

Chinmasa said:

Minister Bimha  and I have been discussing to revive operations at Zisco and we are not serious about our economy growth if we do not get Zisco back to its feet and fail to identify an investor
