A report presented in Parliament on Tuesday by the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Youth, accused the Zanu PF political commissar of deceiving President Robert Mugabe that $50 million had been pledged for the Zimunya-Marange Community Share Ownership Trust (CSOT).
The committee alleges Kasukuwere misled Mugabe, who presented a dummy $1,5m cheque to the Zimunya-Marange CSOT, putting his name into disrepute. However Kasukuwere yesterday tweeted,
Marange! Past, present&future conduct scrutiny welcome .$1,5(50)m I will answer.

NewsDay asked him to clarify his tweet and whether his statement implied that he was ready to defend himself, he said: “Yes, I have to dispel the malice.”
