Government crafting law to support the introduction of Bond Notes
Speaking at a luncheon to mark the opening of the opening of the Fourth session of the Eighth Parliament in Harare yesterday, Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa said that Government is in the process of crafting a law that will support the introduction of Bond Notes.
Mnangagwa said,
Let me assure you that it is not a dream. It is going to be reality. We are going to live with it. Those who can easily realise that reality should begin to accept that bond notes will be with us. We are in the middle of crafting legislation.
FeedbackMnangagwa’s comments come barely two weeks after the Constitutional Court dismissed Joice Mujuru‘s application citing that she can only challenge the notes when they have been introduced.
